All In Common
Read my blog about Alma’s Church. A few months ago I wrote down some of my ideas. It’s at http://greenscootersimplelife.blogspot.com/
I believe one of the foundations of any all in common system is that each individual in the order views his abilities, capacities, genius, etc. as gifts from God. Since his ability to make lots of money is a gift from God the surpluses of that gift should be shared like any other non-monetary gift. Without this foundation, people tend use their money to increase their personal wealth.
Another foundation principle is to believe that believing in Christ means that Christ really wants everyone equal. He really wants the poor exalted and the rich debased. He really wants the poor and the needy taken care of – perhaps better than the regular folk. Since I believe in Christ, I want to give my surplus to the priests to help the poor. This belief system, perhaps, is an order above the order that we current live in in the church.
The problem is that it is very hard to judge whether or not a person is walking in the pride of his heart. Alma tried to do it and ended up having to excommunicate anyone who wouldn’t stop wearing fine apparel (along with making a mock of his brother, etc.). How would that be implemented in the church today? It seems impossible.
I haven’t thought about family funds for a while. Perhaps we say in our heart and to our children, “everything I have is yours”, so they, as they get older, believe that everything they have is ours. We just don’t believe that we would better off if we amassed our resources together. We believe we would be the one losing out. We don’t trust that others would be following the ‘rules’ and we would get the short end of the stick.

The Wisdom of World Leaders
They are trying to prime the pump. It seems like someone is trying to buy our votes like the Jaredite kings tried to do. Maybe its mob rule. We (the mob) steal money from our children. The economist in me says that China must spend their US dollars in the US so it somehow benefits the USA for the Chinese to purchase bonds. They just have paper. They don’t control anything. The problem is that we have to pay the bond back with interest. The bottom line is that we are in a convoluted, mixed financial system that breaks down sometimes. It will ultimately crash. It is based on money sloshing around (consumer spending). This basis is unsustainable. A better system would be based on provident living, saving and frugality. An even better system would be to overlay the current supply and demand system with an everything in common system. Then all those who choose to, would belong to the overlaid system, working at their jobs but contributing their surplus for the common good. We would then be living the laws of the Celestial Kingdom inside Babylon. The system would work beyond our expectations because God would bless it and everyone on it (a 100 fold or perhaps a 1000 fold).
Let me know what you think. Thanks for the email,
Scott

Always Behind the Eight Ball
I think that for many, getting married young and having children early created a situation where the couple could never quite get control of their financial life. The couple was forced to provide, purchase larger homes prematurely, down size career decisions and forfeit business opportunities. The couple stays in this predicament for 30 to 35 years trying their best to support their children so they might be in a better position than the couple was.
I talk about traumatic upbringing another day.

Debt
How do I apply faith in this mess of a situation? Do something and ask God for help. Stay positive and underwelmed by the stresses. Stay calm. Let the Spirit guide my next move. I can do one thing: put away the credit card. It would force to reevaluate the current expenditures.
1. talk to Knowles
2. drop life insurance
3. drop the internet
4. look for another job
5. do nothing until January
6. eat food storage, buy nothing
7. Put everything toward the credit card and only use the credit card

Cain: How To Create A Secret Combination
In Moses 5: 17 -39 the Lord show the pattern of human spiritual downfall. In the pattern it also shows how people become evil. I define an evil individual as a person who intentionally uses, hurts, deceives, or otherwise takes advantage of his fellowman with the sole desire for power, gain and pleasure. This person knows full well the harm they are causing and actually enjoys doing it. The person loves and makes a lie.
The creation of an evil person goes like this:
- Find a person that competitive, proud, and godless
- Get Angry. Create an events that upsets the person
- Reject righteous counsel.
- Get more angry and hateful.
- Love Satan and his principles. Deepen you hate. Become amoral and Godless.
- Make a Satanic pack with Others to keep you action secret from others and those in authority. Set up other so they must deny the light with in them by choosing evil.
- Satan uses his power to help.
- Kill an innocent person (or another act that takes advantage of another)
- Lose the Light of Christ within you
- Relish in what you have done, love and make a lie.
- Through secrecy, grow you organization. Regular people won't believe suspecting people anyway.
Find the Person.
Pride or a lack of willingness to be taught and chastened. (16)".... And Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bare Cain, and said: I have gotten a man from the Lord; wherefore he may not reject his words. But behold, Cain heakened not, saying: Who is the Lord that I should know him? " Cain was already displaying a lack of humility. He was arrogant. " (17)And she again conceived and bare his brother Abel. And Abel hearkened unto the voice of the Lord. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. " Abel, on the other hand, choose to follow righteousness.
Get Angry.
18 And Cain aloved Satan more than God. And Satan commanded him, saying: bMake an offering unto the Lord. 19 And in process of time it came to pass that Cain brought of the afruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. 20 And Abel, he also brought of the afirstlings of his flock, and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had brespect unto Abel, and to his coffering; 21 But unto Cain, and to his aoffering, he had not respect. Now Satan knew this, and it bpleased him. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
Reject Righteous Counsel.
22 And the Lord said unto Cain: Why art thou wroth? Why is thy countenance fallen?
23 If thou doest well, thou shalt be aaccepted. And if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door, and Satan bdesireth to have thee; and except thou shalt hearken unto my commandments, I will cdeliver thee up, and it shall be unto thee according to his desire. And thou shalt rule over him;
24 For from this time forth thou shalt be the father of his alies; thou shalt be called bPerdition; for thou wast also cbefore the world.
25 And it shall be said in time to come—That these abominations were had from aCain; for he rejected the greater counsel which was had from God; and this is a bcursing which I will put upon thee, except thou repent.
Get even more angry and hateful.
26 And Cain was wroth, and listened not any more to the voice of the Lord, neither to Abel, his brother, who walked in holiness before the Lord. 27 And Adam and his wife amourned before the Lord, because of Cain and his brethren.
Love Satan and his principles.
28 And it came to pass that Cain took one of his brothers’ daughters to awife, and they bloved Satan more than God.
Make a Satanic pack with Others.
29 And Satan said unto Cain: aSwear unto me by thy throat, and if thou tell it thou shalt die; and swear thy brethren by their heads, and by the living God, that they tell it not; for if they tell it, they shall surely die; and this that thy father may not know it; and this day I will deliver thy brother Abel into thine hands.
30 And Satan sware unto Cain that he would do according to his commands. And all these things were done in secret.
31 And Cain said: Truly I am Mahan, the master of this great asecret, that I may bmurder and get cgain. Wherefore Cain was called Master dMahan, and he gloried in his wickedness.
32 And Cain went into the field, and Cain talked with Abel, his brother. And it came to pass that while they were in the field, Cain rose up against Abel, his brother, and slew him.
33 And Cain agloried in that which he had done, saying: I am free; surely the bflocks of my brother falleth into my hands.
34 And the Lord said unto Cain: Where is Abel, thy brother? And he said: I know not. Am I my brother’s akeeper?
35 And the Lord said: What hast thou done? The voice of thy brother’s ablood cries unto me from the ground.
36 And now thou shalt be acursed from the earth which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand.
37 When thou tillest the ground it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her astrength. A bfugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.
38 And Cain said unto the Lord: Satan atempted me because of my brother’s flocks. And I was wroth also; for his offering thou didst accept and not mine; my bpunishment is greater than I can bear.
39 Behold thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the Lord, and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that he that findeth me will slay me, because of mine iniquities, for these things are not hid from the Lord.
