Mimi came back!

Our cat, Mimi, came back a few days ago. She was gone for nine days. After analysing the situation we think she go stuck in the neighbor's shed (the Echeveria's). We come to this conclusion because of the tracks in the snow that lead to the whole in the fence behind their shed. Mimi was also dry and very skinny. We actually went over to the Echeveria's and Jaime checked the shed for us. But, he didn't see her. It actually snowed on Tuesday. The cat showed up at the same time the Echeveria's were shoveling their walkways. That might indicate that they opened their shed for the first time in nine days. The only question I have is how did Mimi survive without water? I will have to walk over to the shed and see if there is water or know accessible inside the shed.

Mimi is very hungry and very clingy. She is doing well. We are trying fatten her up.

Debt

We are going into debt with the pay cut and all. What can be done. I think I will put away my credit card. I just not sure that we have enough money coming in to make ends meet. It would be an interesting exercise to see what items have to go. Will it be food, gas, insurance, life insurance, internet? If I was to live with my means something will have to go. We should have sold the house a year or two ago. We would have been in a better situation now.

How do I apply faith in this mess of a situation? Do something and ask God for help. Stay positive and underwelmed by the stresses. Stay calm. Let the Spirit guide my next move. I can do one thing: put away the credit card. It would force to reevaluate the current expenditures.

1. talk to Knowles
2. drop life insurance
3. drop the internet
4. look for another job
5. do nothing until January
6. eat food storage, buy nothing
7. Put everything toward the credit card and only use the credit card

Cain: How To Create A Secret Combination

According to the Book of Moses, revelation received by Joseph Smith, a pattern is revealed that, I believe applies to evil people and organizations every where. The pattern are probably some of the things that the Lord did not want revealed to people of the Book of Mormon nor to the modern day readers of the Book of Mormon. There is probably much more that isn't part of my discussion.

In Moses 5: 17 -39 the Lord show the pattern of human spiritual downfall. In the pattern it also shows how people become evil. I define an evil individual as a person who intentionally uses, hurts, deceives, or otherwise takes advantage of his fellowman with the sole desire for power, gain and pleasure. This person knows full well the harm they are causing and actually enjoys doing it. The person loves and makes a lie.

The creation of an evil person goes like this:

  1. Find a person that competitive, proud, and godless
  2. Get Angry. Create an events that upsets the person
  3. Reject righteous counsel.
  4. Get more angry and hateful.
  5. Love Satan and his principles. Deepen you hate. Become amoral and Godless.
  6. Make a Satanic pack with Others to keep you action secret from others and those in authority. Set up other so they must deny the light with in them by choosing evil.
  7. Satan uses his power to help.
  8. Kill an innocent person (or another act that takes advantage of another)
  9. Lose the Light of Christ within you
  10. Relish in what you have done, love and make a lie.
  11. Through secrecy, grow you organization. Regular people won't believe suspecting people anyway.

Find the Person.

Pride or a lack of willingness to be taught and chastened. (16)".... And Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bare Cain, and said: I have gotten a man from the Lord; wherefore he may not reject his words. But behold, Cain heakened not, saying: Who is the Lord that I should know him? " Cain was already displaying a lack of humility. He was arrogant. " (17)And she again conceived and bare his brother Abel. And Abel hearkened unto the voice of the Lord. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. " Abel, on the other hand, choose to follow righteousness.

Get Angry.

18 And Cain aloved Satan more than God. And Satan commanded him, saying: bMake an offering unto the Lord. 19 And in process of time it came to pass that Cain brought of the afruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. 20 And Abel, he also brought of the afirstlings of his flock, and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had brespect unto Abel, and to his coffering; 21 But unto Cain, and to his aoffering, he had not respect. Now Satan knew this, and it bpleased him. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

Reject Righteous Counsel.

22 And the Lord said unto Cain: Why art thou wroth? Why is thy countenance fallen?

23 If thou doest well, thou shalt be aaccepted. And if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door, and Satan bdesireth to have thee; and except thou shalt hearken unto my commandments, I will cdeliver thee up, and it shall be unto thee according to his desire. And thou shalt rule over him;

24 For from this time forth thou shalt be the father of his alies; thou shalt be called bPerdition; for thou wast also cbefore the world.

25 And it shall be said in time to come—That these abominations were had from aCain; for he rejected the greater counsel which was had from God; and this is a bcursing which I will put upon thee, except thou repent.

Get even more angry and hateful.

26 And Cain was wroth, and listened not any more to the voice of the Lord, neither to Abel, his brother, who walked in holiness before the Lord. 27 And Adam and his wife amourned before the Lord, because of Cain and his brethren.

Love Satan and his principles.

28 And it came to pass that Cain took one of his brothers’ daughters to awife, and they bloved Satan more than God.

Make a Satanic pack with Others.

29 And Satan said unto Cain: aSwear unto me by thy throat, and if thou tell it thou shalt die; and swear thy brethren by their heads, and by the living God, that they tell it not; for if they tell it, they shall surely die; and this that thy father may not know it; and this day I will deliver thy brother Abel into thine hands.

30 And Satan sware unto Cain that he would do according to his commands. And all these things were done in secret.

31 And Cain said: Truly I am Mahan, the master of this great asecret, that I may bmurder and get cgain. Wherefore Cain was called Master dMahan, and he gloried in his wickedness.

32 And Cain went into the field, and Cain talked with Abel, his brother. And it came to pass that while they were in the field, Cain rose up against Abel, his brother, and slew him.

33 And Cain agloried in that which he had done, saying: I am free; surely the bflocks of my brother falleth into my hands.

34 And the Lord said unto Cain: Where is Abel, thy brother? And he said: I know not. Am I my brother’s akeeper?

35 And the Lord said: What hast thou done? The voice of thy brother’s ablood cries unto me from the ground.

36 And now thou shalt be acursed from the earth which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand.

37 When thou tillest the ground it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her astrength. A bfugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.

38 And Cain said unto the Lord: Satan atempted me because of my brother’s flocks. And I was wroth also; for his offering thou didst accept and not mine; my bpunishment is greater than I can bear.

39 Behold thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the Lord, and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that he that findeth me will slay me, because of mine iniquities, for these things are not hid from the Lord.

The Good Life

I had my birthday party today. Julia, Karen, April and Shawn and Jon and Sara were there. I like having my married children around. We play Ticket to Ride. I lost. I like looking at Sara and Jon. They look very happy. April and Shawn also look very content. Steven called and asked for advice. That was nice. He is also trying to quit smoking. He is working on it the slow way. But, hopefully he will be able to kick the habit. He ought to consider changing every aspect of his life that doesn't bring happiness. Why not?

I like my children. I don't hear from James very much. I worry about him. I hope he dong well and making good choices. He is up at USU.

My birthday presents: Two suits bought cheap at Dahle's going out of business sale; one ticket to the BYU vs UCLA football game (we won 49:0); good children and good wife; reduction in pay (new trial); out to dinner to Sushi Ya; happy cat.

Hard Day at Work

On Friday, Jeff Knowles decided to have layoffs and reduction in pay. I wasn't sure what I was in for. I have more to say about this but a blog is not the place to start expressing feelings where the person you are talking about could read your feelings. I need to think about this.

Anyways, I got a reduction in pay for six months or more. Maybe less. The reduction is so significant that I will not be able to live without selling off cars and houses. Should I look for another job? Is that what they really want. Jeff says no. At least they have an executive committee that can manage the business and look at how to make money and reduce expenses. That is the first good move. The only problem is that I want to be on the committee. I have too many good ideas for years that have been lost.

Financial Goals

I have some financial goals that I want write down somewhere where I find them again.

1. Freeze the credit card. No more accumulation of debt. After two marriages this summer, it's time to stop using the card. It was beneficial to get the children starting out on the right foot.

2. Follow the following financial goals.
2a. Create a $1000 emergency fund. (Oct 2008)
2b Systematcally pay down debt. I'm sure I want to combine all the debt or just choose the highest interest debt first OR choose the smallest amount first. They all have their advantages.
1. Platinum Credit Card (April 2009)
2. Bank of America Card (July 2009)
3. Fair Financial (October 2009)
4. Knowles (June 2010)
5. Lexus (June 2012)

2c. Create an emergency fund of three to six months of savings. (June 2014).

2d. Create a sunk fund for large purchases. (June 2015).

3. Buy $10 / week in food storage replenishment. (September 2008).

4. Fill up water containers and store. (September 2008).

I will revise this as I go. Hopefully with raises and healing I will be about to accomplish these goals in half the time.

Chores Conclusion

The 10 minute chore approach went very well. The problem was a positive problem. Some chores took more than 10 minutes. The person doing to chore tended to keep on doing the chore until it was completed. The only problem was that we only 6 out of the 10 assigned chores done in the prescribed amount of time. The good news is that much of the house was cleaned.

Satuday - new chore approach

In a few minutes I will start chores. I decided to divide up the chores into ten minute chunks. With 27 chores and three people, that makes nine chores each or 90 minutes of chores per person. The problem is that my wife a disappeard and my daughter won't get out of bed. So, I decided to blog for a few minutes. The cat has made it home on my lap. She is a Burmese, the best breed out there - if you like active, smart, fun cats.

Book of Mormon Thoughts

It seems to me that Alma's church was an "everything in common" church. That would mean that when the Nephites were in their "pride" cycle, that they were falling from the consecrative aspect of the church. What were falling toward? Obviously, they fell into an everyone on their own type of economy where each person prospers according to the management of the creature. That seems to connote a system in which we live in today. When this happened, the church began to fail in it's progress. Luckily the LDS church doesn't have this problem because we have never been asked to consecrate and are not living this higher law as a church. In Alma's church, member were excommunicated for not repenting of the pride of their hearts. That seems to be in part the wearing of fine apparel. In order to repent the member apparently had to stop using his substance for expensive things. Envy and mocking were also aspects of pride.
